RICHARDSON, Texas & SAN DIEGO– Taqua®, LLC, a leading supplier of IP-based mobile and fixed communications systems, applications, and services announced today the company has integrated Sansay’s VSXi SBC platform with Taqua’s next-generation TaquaWorks Class 4/5 solution.
TaquaWorks is a tightly integrated switching solution that leverages the company’s flagship Taqua T7000® Intelligent Switching System, a full featured Class 4/5 packet and TDM voice switching system. Taqua utilizes BroadSoft® BroadWorks® suite of VoIP applications as an enhanced services platform for enterprise customers and Sansay’s VSXi session border controller for access and inter-carrier call security, interoperability and routing.
“Taqua continues to deliver the industry’s best performing IP communications solutions by integrating proven technologies from innovative market leaders,” said Frederick Reynolds, vice president of marketing, Taqua, LLC. “Sansay’s SBC works seamlessly with our core switch offering carrier-class services that can scale quickly and cost effectively to support CSPs at any stage of business growth.”
“Sansay is committed to delivering the highest performance, most flexible communications solutions on the market, along with unmatched support,” said Sansay VP of Sales, Allen Johnston. “Taqua’s decision to move forward with us validates our position as a new market leader in SBC performance, product quality and support.”
TaquaWorks gives carriers the ability to deploy voice services in a distributed or centralized model to either legacy TDM or IP subscribers, simultaneously from the same platform. A T7000 equipped with a Packet Interface Card (PIC) can support synchronized and interworking IP and TDM operations, allowing complete interoperability between POTS and VoIP users.
Several competitive and incumbent carriers have already deployed the TaquaWorks solution with Sansay’s VSXi SBC. Houston-based LOGIX COMMUNICATIONS, an integrated communications services provider, has deployed a TaquaWorks network that consists of multiple T7000 and VSXi systems, and a centralized BroadWorks system to consolidate voicemail and deliver enterprise features. In addition to LOGIX, Dalton Utilities in Georgia, Mornington Communications in Canada, and Illinois-based iT-V3 Communications have all purchased TaquaWorks with Sansay’s VSXi.
The T7000 is the only field-proven next generation Class 5 switch that meets the strict requirements for “five nines” reliability, and provides a full-set of Class 5 services within a compact, gateway-like chassis. The T7000 scales from 40 to 40,000 subscribers with a single 17” X 24” shelf, enabling CSPs to pay-as-they-grow and provide profitable voice services upon initial deployment. In addition, the compact footprint of the T7000 make it practical for installation in a variety of locations, including collocation spaces, MTUs, or any site with a controlled environment.
Sansay’s VSXi is the highest performing session control platform in the market today. A single VSXi node scales to 1,200 cps and 50,000 sessions. VSXi clusters of 16 nodes scale to 19,200 cps and 800,000 sessions — all with greater than 99.999% availability. The carrier–grade VSXi can be positioned at the core or edge of the network to manage VoIP traffic between SIP proxies, SIP UAs, H.323 gateways, IP-PBXs and H.323 gatekeepers.
Sansay is the leading independent provider of high performance VoIP infrastructure for session control applications. Sansay’s global base of over 300 service provider customers include wholesale, prepaid, hosted business, residential, and wireless operators. Sansay’s award-winning VSXi and transcoding products deliver superior efficiency and flexibility via highly sophisticated routing capabilities, high performance switching, and the combination of high available (HA) redundancy with network-wide licensing.
